Homer Jay Simpson is a fictional main character in the animated television series The Simpsons and the father of the eponymous family. Homer and his wife, Marge, have three children: Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. He works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Homer embodies several American working class stereotypes: he is crude, overweight, incompetent, clumsy, lazy and ignorant. He always says what he thinks and does everything he can to get what he wants.
Marjorie "Marge" Simpson (Bouvier) is the well-meaning and extremely patient mother of the Simpson family. Marge is the moralistic force in her family and often provides a grounding voice in the midst of her family's antics by trying to maintain order in the Simpson home. She is a person who loves her family even they aren’t perfect. She takes care of all and tries to make the best for them. She's a housewife.
Bartholomew JoJo "Bart" Simpson: a ten year old boy, Bart is the oldest child and only son of Homer and Marge, and the brother of Lisa and Maggie. Bart's most prominent character traits are his mischievousness, rebelliousness and disrespect for authority.
Lisa Marie Simpson: is the middle child of the Simpson family. At eight years old, Lisa is the second child of Homer and Marge, younger sister of Bart and older sister of Maggie. She is highly intelligent and plays the baritone saxophone. She is vegetarian, budisht and advocates for a variety of political causes, including the Tibetan independence movement. she isn't as sociable as Bart. She always do what she thinks is the right.
Margaret "Maggie": is the youngest child of Marge and Homer, and sister to Bart and Lisa. She is often seen sucking on her pacifier, and, when she walks, she trips over her clothing and falls on her face. Being an infant, she cannot talk. Therefore, she is the least seen and heard in the Simpson family.
